Concorezzo (MB), June 2025 – KSB Italia S.p.A. recently celebrated a remarkable milestone: 100 years of continuous operation, growth, and innovation. The centenary celebration took place in two parts — a grand gala at the Villa Reale in Monza and a fun-filled family event at the company headquarters in Concorezzo.
📜 A Legacy That Began in 1925
Founded in May 1925 as the Società Italiana Pompe Klein, KSB Italia was the first international branch of the German parent company Klein, Schanzlin & Becker. Initially based in Milan, the company later moved to Concorezzo and played a key role in supplying pumps for Italian waterworks as early as the 1930s.
A standout symbol of this rich history is the volumetric pump from Tovo San Giacomo (SV), purchased in 1929 and operational until 1995. Fully restored, this pump is now proudly displayed at the Concorezzo site, celebrating the brand’s century-long engineering reliability.
👨👩👧👦 A Celebration with the KSB Family
More than 450 employees and their families joined the celebration at the Concorezzo plant. It was a day of joy and connection, filled with games, live music, workshops, magic shows, inflatable zones, and giveaways — all designed to honor the people who make KSB what it is.
The gala event in Monza was marked by speeches from senior leadership. Riccardo Vincenti, Director of KSB Italia, emphasized, “This anniversary is the result of a journey built day by day with passion, commitment, and teamwork.” Company executives Peter Weber and Tuomas Karhu echoed this sentiment, proudly highlighting the company’s roots and its future.
🌱 Innovation, Sustainability & People-Centric Culture
KSB Italia has always placed people and the planet at the center of its mission. At its Concorezzo site, the company has created a wellness-friendly environment with:
- An in-house gym
- A library of 1,000+ books
- Organic gardens and fruit trees
- Flexible work arrangements and smart working options
The KSB Training Center is not only for employee development but also open to students, ITS institutes, and universities — helping nurture the next generation of engineers and innovators. The company actively collaborates with institutions like Politecnico di Milano and Assolombarda to attract and train young talent.
In terms of environmental responsibility, KSB installed solar panels back in 2010 and continues to expand its renewable initiatives — showing commitment to sustainability not just as a policy but as daily practice.
🌍 Impact Beyond Industry
KSB’s involvement extends beyond business. They’ve contributed to some of Italy’s most iconic projects:
- The vertical forest (Bosco Verticale) in Milan
- Systems in the Teatro alla Scala
- Restoration efforts for the Villa Reale in Monza
Internationally, KSB supported the Emergency Hospital in Entebbe, Uganda, a project by renowned architect Renzo Piano. During the centenary, the company also made a charitable donation to “Seregno Soccorso”, reaffirming its strong bond with the local community.
✅ A Century of Progress. A Future Full of Promise.
From a single Milan office to a national leader in pumps and valves, KSB Italia now boasts:
- 300+ employees
- 5 locations in Italy
- A global network of 39 production sites and 190 service centers
As it enters its second century, KSB continues to stand for precision, sustainability, innovation — and most importantly, people.
