Taiwan Expansion Reinforces Support for Semiconductor and Electronics Manufacturers with Advanced Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Solutions
PORTO, Portugal / Taiwan – Critical Manufacturing, a leading provider of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Industrial Operations Platform solutions, has officially expanded its operations into Taiwan, strengthening its commitment to one of the world’s most advanced semiconductor and electronics manufacturing hubs.
The expansion marks a significant milestone in the company’s Asia-Pacific growth strategy, enabling Critical Manufacturing to provide closer support to manufacturers embracing digital transformation, Industry 4.0, and smart factory technologies.
Why Taiwan Matters
Taiwan plays a vital role in the global semiconductor and electronics supply chain. Manufacturers across the region manage highly complex production processes, strict quality standards, and increasingly connected manufacturing environments.
As production becomes more data-driven, companies require advanced software platforms capable of integrating manufacturing execution, automation, analytics, and artificial intelligence into a unified digital ecosystem.
Critical Manufacturing’s Industrial Operations Platform addresses these requirements by placing its Manufacturing Execution System (MES) at the center of factory operations. The platform connects machines, production data, enterprise systems, and multiple manufacturing sites, enabling manufacturers to improve visibility, increase productivity, and make faster operational decisions.
CEO Highlights Strategic Expansion
Francisco Almada Lobo, CEO and Co-founder of Critical Manufacturing, said Taiwan represents one of the company’s most important strategic markets.
According to Lobo, the company’s growing customer base in the region and Taiwan’s central position within the global semiconductor industry made local expansion a natural step. Establishing a dedicated operation will allow Critical Manufacturing to better support existing customers while helping additional manufacturers modernize increasingly complex production environments.
Neil Chen Appointed Managing Director for Taiwan
Critical Manufacturing’s Taiwan operations will be led by Neil Chen, who has extensive experience with the company’s Manufacturing Execution System solutions.
Throughout his career, Chen has contributed to MES consulting, software engineering, customer implementation, system architecture, user training, and solution customization. His previous experience with InfoFab and OSE also provides deep knowledge of Taiwan’s manufacturing technology landscape.
Chen stated that successful MES projects depend not only on software capabilities but also on effective implementation, customization, and long-term customer support. He emphasized that the local Taiwan team will work closely with manufacturers to maximize returns from their digital manufacturing investments.
Supporting Smarter Manufacturing
With the new Taiwan operation, Critical Manufacturing aims to help semiconductor and electronics manufacturers improve operational efficiency by connecting production execution, automation, analytics, and trusted AI within a single industrial platform.
The expansion further strengthens the company’s position as a technology partner for manufacturers operating in high-value, precision-driven industries while supporting the continued adoption of Industry 4.0 and intelligent factory initiatives throughout Asia.
